Summer in Indiana is hot, hot, hot and humid too!
But, it is also bursting with life – the color of flowers, the smell of freshly mowed grass, the taste of farmers’ markets, and the sounds of families swimming, biking, and picnicking.
For my first ever Facebook contest, you can have a chance to win the mousepad to your left by entering a photo taken in July 2011 to my Facebook Fan page, Adventures in Seeing.
All you have to do is download the Photographing Summer Worksheet, spend some time with the worksheet figuring out what you love most about summer, and then photograph accordingly.
Upload your image to the Facebook page, tag it “contest” and you will be entered to win. Whichever image gets the most likes by the deadline, July 31, 2011 at midnight will win (which means you may have to get your friends involved).
Please encourage others who might be interested to participate too.

Can I play? Even if I can’t win because I can’t submit to the contest rules (it is possible, I suppose, to create a photo in the depths of winter that reminds me of summer, it would be a challenge, I guess….hmmm…the lighting would be all wrong) and all my photos would be from previous summers, so I wouldn’t expect to win (or you to ship prizes across to the other side of the planet. But I would like to submit something…I’m sure I’ve got something here somewhere.

Liz, of course you can submit a photo. I should have worded it better for those of you in the depths of winter. I know for sure that you took lots of photos last summer.
